The Challenge
Nyson Engineering runs a CNC milling, lathe machining, and welding workshop where job orders, tooling stock, raw material consumption, and daily cash movement were all tracked manually. Paper job cards and a handwritten cashbook (roznamcha) made it difficult to see, at a glance, which jobs were active, how much cash was on hand, or what was owed to suppliers.
Technical Strategy
Rather than fitting the workshop into a generic off-the-shelf ERP, the system was built module by module around how the shop floor actually operates: a job card first, mobile-first interface that works as an "operational command center," with every other module (cashbook, payroll, stock, khata) reachable in one tap from the dashboard.
What Was Built
Core modules delivered as part of the Workshop ERP mobile control center:
- Job Cards & Active Jobs: Live tracking of active jobs, readiness status, and delivered counts.
- Daily Cashbook (Roznamcha): Cash in hand, inflow/outflow, and net change tracked per day.
- Tooling Stock & Raw Materials: Live inventory for tooling/inserts and raw materials (MS/SS/Aluminium).
- Workforce & Salaries: Employee directory, daily attendance with overtime, and payroll with advances.
- Khata & Accounts: Customer directory, supplier ledgers, workshop expenses, and reports & statements.
- Quotations & CRM: Active quotations tracked alongside client records.
- System & Audit: Full audit trail/logs, automatic backups, and role-based admin access.
Status
The system is in active development with core modules already live and in daily use on the shop floor. Further modules are being rolled out in milestones as the workshop's reporting needs grow.
